。《月令七十二集解》中记载：“处暑，七月中。处，止也。暑气至此而止矣。”古人将处暑分为三候。一候“鹰乃祭鸟”，古人称鹰为义禽，秋气肃杀，鹰感其气而开始大量捕猎鸟类，并把猎物整齐摆放仿佛祭祀。二候“天地始肃”，天地间万物开始凋零，充满了肃杀之气。

三 | 三候“禾乃登”，禾是黍、稷、稻、粱等农作物的总称，“登”引申为谷物成熟。处暑过后，田野里可见“谷到处暑黄”的秋收景象。我国大部分地区昼夜温差增大的天气条件，对农作物体内干物质的制造和积累十分有利，庄稼成熟较快，因而民间有“处暑禾田连夜变”之说。“处暑”的到来意味着炎热的夏天逐步向凉秋转换，昼夜温差增大，民间有处暑吃鸭子的习俗，认为农历七月中旬的鸭子最为肥美营养，能补阴益血、清热健脾。“离离暑云散，袅袅凉风起”，白居易的这句诗描绘的就是处暑时节暑气消散、凉风徐来的早秋情景。不过，这是对北方地区而言。对于杭州来说，秋天还早呢。杭州常年平均入秋时间为10月3日。最晚入秋时间是10月23日，出现在2006年。虽然最近几天因为东风气流和雨水的影响，杭州的最高气温都不算高，没有超过35℃高温线，但随着副热带高压的增强，明天天气转好，这雨一停，说不定马上就又是高温天。处暑到了，明天出伏。

四 | 少儿公园的桂花已经零星开放，黄山栾也开花了，有细心的橙友发现银杏果也黄了，秋天的信号正在不经意间释放，可以开始期盼“一场秋雨一场凉”以及美好的秋天了。
